As one of our Family Law Lawyers, Louise has extensive experience in litigation matters, initially in insurance and commercial related matters, and then in Family Law.  Her background in litigation has allowed her to develop excellent negotiation skills and this, combined with her strong communications skills and ability to resolve and address conflicts, ensures that she works to achieve positive outcomes for her Family Law clients.

Louise is an experienced advocate who has appeared in the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court in respect to Family Law matters involving parenting, property, relocation, child support, spouse maintenance and de facto property matters.

In recent years, Louise has worked with other Senior Lawyers and Academics to develop and draft submissions to the NSW Government and publish articles which draw attention to the issues surrounding Family Law and Domestic Violence.  She has also been involved as a coach and Magistrate for the Law Society of NSW Mock Trial Programme and the University of Notre Dame Australia, Law School, Mentoring Programme.

Louise is a trauma informed practitioner and a founding committee member for the Community of Calm, Northern Beaches.  The Community of Calm aims to bring mental health and therapeutic practitioners and other professionals together, to provide support for the local community, aimed at relieving symptoms of anxiety, stress and trauma.

Louise is a member of the Law Society of NSW, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the St Thomas Moore Society.
