Preferred areas of practice:

Family Law, De Facto Relationships and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

As our Senior Family Lawyer, Celia is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law.  She has practised exclusively in Family Law since 2006 with both mid-sized suburban and city boutique family law practices. Celia has extensive experience in all aspects of Family Law including complex parenting, property, and child support. She has experience dealing with complex financial issues, advising in relation to business interests, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds as well as matters with international components such as offshore property, forum disputes and international child abduction, as well as smaller “house and garden” type financial matters.

Celia aims to assist her clients to reach negotiated settlements where possible. She also encourages her clients to use alternative dispute resolution, working with her clients to achieve optimum results, without further damaging fragile family relationships. However, where necessary, Celia is an experienced litigator and advocate, and will work hard to ensure, if her clients require court representation, that they achieve the best outcomes.

As a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, she is able to issue s60I Certificates in relation to parenting disputes.  Celia is a member of the Legal Aid Independent Children’s Lawyers panel, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, Resolution Institute and is a Graduate Fellow of the College of Law.
